For this reason the build-in ADOdb library updated to the latest version and Elxis installer updated in order for Oracle to be installed successfully. Many other changes made to Elxis inner procedures in order database queries to become more SQL native and friendlier to other database types. The driver used for Oracle is the oci8 driver. New extensions for Elxis 2008.x were published recently to Elxis Downloads Center. IOS Image Rotator provides you with a simple (yet eye-candy) image rotating mechanism for the Elxis CMS! Image Rotator can rotate custom images or Elxis banners. Images fade out producing a nice effect. Sliding Toolbox 2 is a javascript based, sliding module container by Ivan Trebjesanin. Component Appendix by IOS creates alphanumeric Indices for your Elxis sections. When an Alpha Index letter (or digit) is clicked then component Appendix will show you all the content items, starting from this letter (or digit) for the selected section. Appendix alternatively can show you the categories starting from that letter. Elxis Couloir Gallery module takes images from a folder you specify and displays them in Couloir slideshow. If you click on an image it is shown in a lightbox window. You can control slideshow speed or even disable it.
We are happy to announce that Elxis Serbia is back online after few days, and it is now stronger with new power of Elxis 2008. Also, there is new Serbian board at the official Elxis Forum. We hope you like it and you will come back for more. Downloads section has been removed, because we now have Elxis Downloads Center. You may find translations there, along with some nice extensions, components, documentation, etc... Hopefully, this will be the new beginning for Serbian Elxis Community, and we hope to see more local Elxis community sites soon.
Elxis.org web site was re-created from scratch. The site now reflects the new path to freedom and open source that Elxis CMS follows. The appearance is inspired by the mozilla website. We think it is much more user friendly, has a clear, solid structure and it is much more easier to navigate. The site has a minimum content now. More content and guides will be added soon. The new elxis.org web site was created with Elxis 2008 by Is Open Source (Ioannis Sannos). We hope you like it!
Elxis Team welcomes its new member, Ivan Trebjesanin (a.k.a Jazzman). Ivan has been a loyal friend of Elxis for months. As an Elxis forum member he helped users by providing free support and at the same time he spread Elxis in Serbia by creating a local Elxis community there. Ivan quickly became an Elxis Community member and afterwards, on January 2008, he joined Elxis Team.
