Georgian language was added on the Elxis 2009.3 Aphrodite release. For the proper support of the Georgia language the ka_GE locale was added in Elxis locale list. Elxis 2009.3 (rev2684) release on EDC was updated inorder to include the new language. Elxis is currently translated into 32 languages! Special thanks to Daniel Doinitsin for translating elxis into Gerorgian.

The development of the upcoming version Elxis Nautilus continues normally and based on the time schedule we have set. The support by the community is bigger than ever and we are very happy for this. People working on the Nautilus project have realized how great and important is this project and do their best. It worths to mention that 99.99% of the source code has been written by us from scratch. There are only 1 or 2, minor importance, third party libraries in Elxis Nautilus. So everything has been written for Elxis Nautilus exclusively.

Θα θέλαμε να μοιραστούμε μαζί σας το όραμά μας για ένα σύστημα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου πολύ πέρα από ότι έχετε δει έως τώρα. Το Elxis Nautilus είναι η κωδική ονομασία της 4ης γενιάς του Elxis, 2011.x. Με το Elxis Nautilus αφήνουμε πίσω για πάντα την κληρονομιά και το στυλ κώδικα της οικογένειας του Mambo. Με σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική σχεδιάσης, κώδικα και στάνταρ το Elxis Ναυτίλος φιλοδοξεί να αποτελέσει μία υπέροχη εφαρμογή διαδικτύου με μοναδικές δυνατότητες τις οποίες είμαστε σίγουροι πως αρκετοί προγραμματιστές άλλων CMS θα μιμηθούν μελλοντικά.

Αυτή τη στιγμή αναπτύσσουμε τον βασικό πυρήνα του νέου Elxis. Τα πάντα γράφονται εκ του μηδενός. Για κάθε πρόβλημα δοκιμάζουμε διάφορες λύσεις ώστε να βρούμε την καλύτερη. Ο στόχος μας είναι να φτιάξουμε ένα CMS που θα είναι πανίσχυρο και, ταυτόχρονα, πολύ εύκολο στο να το διαχειριστείς. Προκειμένου να επιτευχθεί αυτός ο στόχος μειώνουμε τον φόρτο που έχει ο διαχειριστής προκειμένου να προσθέσει περιεχόμενο, κατηγορίες, μενού, κλπ. Ο εσωτερικός πυρήνας είναι αρκετά έξυπνος ώστε να διαχειρίζεται τις περισσότερες εργασίες αυτόματα. Λεπτομέρειες και χαρακτηριστικά του Elxis Ναυτίλος θα ανακοινωθούν μαλλοντικά.

Is Open Source released a new version for the booking component for Elxis CMS, IOS Reservations. Version 3.5 brings many new powerful features like unlimited translations per item and automatic translations, discounts, tour operators, remote booking with IOSR Connector, unlimited accommodation types, custom front page layouts and much more. The hotelier's and administrator's control panel re-designed from scratch. IOS Reservations is a superb online hotel booking system in a very low price. Elxis 2009.2 electra is almost ready and soon will be available for download. This new release of the 2009.x generation has some very cool new features that you will love, improved compatibility with PHP 5.3+ and some bug fixes of the 2009.1 version. Elxis 2009.2 is currently under beta testing. You can have some more information about this version at our wiki site. We are very happy to announce you the release of the eForum component for Elxis CMS. eForum is a full featured forum component that allows you to keep a forum system in your Elxis powered site. No more bridges, external forum applications and hacks. eForum is an native elxis component, fully integrated into the CMS. Elxis users are your forum members. The component development took a long time to complete as we were working at the same time on other projects but we believe it worths the waiting. We also implemented some very cool features on eForum that you wont find easily on other forum applications like PDF export, an iphone/ipod compatible version and chatters. Together with eForum we also released some extensions for it and others will follow soon. eForum developed by Ioannis Sannos and released for free under the Creative Common Share Alike 3.0 licence.
