Elxis wiki

Elxis wiki is the official online documentation source for the Elxis CMS. The wiki site started on May 2009 as a replacement of all documentation sources existing till then. It is an effort to gather any Elxis related help document in one place. Anyone is welcome to contribute to our wiki. Responsible for the wiki site is Kostas Stathopoulos.

Forum

Elxis official forum is the best online place to seek answers or ask for help. Forum members are willing to help you with any Elxis related issue. Please first search the forums before asking about something as we have already responded to many user questions. The forum main language is English but there is also an international section where you can write in your native language. There is also a live chat which you can use to get instant support. Registration in our forums is required inorder to post messages or use the chat service.

Developers support

To help you develop third party extensions and templates for Elxis CMS there are many online articles, forum posts, PDF e-books and wiki articles. We try to list all of them under one place (Elxis wiki) in order to be easier to find them. Till then here is a short guide where you will find everything.

• Elxis for developers at Elxis wiki. Everything new is added in the wiki site. Old guides also moved to that site.
• PDF e-books at Elxis Downloads Center. At EDC you will find some great e-books such as the Component development, Elxis templates and SEO PRO guides.
• Elxis 2008/2009 developers guides at the Elxis forums. Sample contents: Elxis languages and locales, Users Preferable Language, XHTML compatibility, Multi-lingual XML files, SEO PRO extensions, AJAX tabs, Softdisk, RTL, ADOdb.
• Elxis Code. For help regarding Elxis CMS PHP source code you can browse our documented PHP source code reference located at code.elxis.org. You will find useful information about the PHP functions, variables, classes and constants that Elxis uses, how they are being used and for what purpose.
• Developers guides at elxis.org. You will find some excellent articles written for developers in this site.

Elxis CMS comes with a full administration user manual that will help you administer your site. Click the Help icon on any Elxis administration page to get help for that page.
